Queen of...

I've been collecting bits and pieces lately with an idea of making some wreaths. Remember my remade one for my front porch? This one hangs by my back door. I smile when I see it as I'm coming and going. I know it's not perfect, the color in the ribbon doesn't match the flowers exactly but I liked it together. Most likely I broke some cardinal rule of professional wreath making but that's ok, this is for fun.

My preferred method of collecting wreath crafting materials?

Dare I tell? I picked them out of the swept up trash at work. Sometimes the stockmen or the floral dept lady will save them for me. My boss even checks with me before tossing things into the compactor! Does this make me the Queen of Trash? Hmmm, not liking that title. But I do love some crafting trash. After all it would be criminal to see all those perfectly good decapitated flowers go to waste... Any crafty ideas for uses??? If you were my neighbor I'd share with you!

Your work has some pretty trash. If I had to make a wreath with stuff from my husband's work trash I think it would be constructed from paperclips and used post-it notes!

Well you too can have that rug if you have a Sams near you! :) He sells to Sams so they have it there and in other colors. Cute wreath!

I love that you save decapitated flowers. There are so many many uses for them. I hot glue them to gifts. When my daughter was younger I would hot glue them to everything - toy box, jewelry box, dresses, etc.
