Keep Calm & Carry On

Have you been admiring this phrase as much as me? I've been seeing it all over blogland & wanted my own. Here's my version... tell me what you think!

What makes my heart sing is it required me to use my stuff! I know! Imagine my delight... Ladies, I am truly blessed with crafting stuff & my own little space to work in but I am not blessed with time to play. When I finally do find a moment I'm quickly overwhelmed by a) the mess my craft room is in or b) the sheer volume of choices. I end up creating nothing & feeling like a crafting failure. I've been feeling like that a lot lately, for weeks and weeks in fact. My secret shame. No one should feel that way. This past week I spent a little time out there working on clearing & organizing. It's not done but most importantly it helped me to feel a connection to my creative space. So Saturday afternoon when I decided to go play with my things I was able to actually make something... *smiles* My heart was singing! Silly I know... but don't you ever feel that way too? Get bogged down in too many choices & perfectionism? This simple totally copy-catted sign represents me overcoming my creative block & actually doing/making something. For that it makes me happy & I'm totally ignoring the fact that the first R in Carry isn't perfect.... It's part of it's handcrafted charm!

I LOVE that sign....now I think I am going to have to copy!!! Can't copy till the crown stamp goes on sale at our favorite place...lol

I sure wish you wouldn't feel like a crafting or any kind of failure. No WAY!!

IF I had a full-time job along with my family there would be no way that I could blog much or do many crafts, I would just be exhausted. Just your commute to and from your job is long. I am just lucky enough that right now I only work (very) part time. I am home before noon every day....so I do have time before Lexi gets out of school. I hope you can just feel GREAT about whatever you do. Much love....♥

I love the sign and the saying. Are these rub-ons or printed off the computer?

I'd love to find a crafting friend that I could pair up with to do fun things like this with. Too bad were not neighbors...boy we could have some fun couldn't we!

I LOVE your sign! I haven't seen this saying so it is new to me! I love the "crown" touch. And you should NEVER feel like a crafty failure! You have so much on your plate with a full time job, and long commute. Now that would certainly overwhelm me. But I do know what you mean about having too many choices! I think that is why I like thrift shopping so much. There usually isn't but just a few good things to choose from, makes it a lot easier to decide! LOL! And if I worked where you work, I would be on CRAFT overload! LOL! Anyhow, your sign is fabulous! :) ~hugs, Rhonda

Hi, Kitty,

I love your sign ... and the saying! I need to make one for my bulletin board above my computer.

And the creative window treatments you made for your kitchen are so pretty. I love the fabric.

You did GOOD!

Very cute, and i can totally relate to tat 'mess' and here do i begin thing. Cleaning up has helped me too. It's just such on ongoing thing for us creative people.

Oh, Idea!
Someone should hire themselves out to clean up after us crafters!!!

You know, even if they just made piles of stuff and we put it away.

I am too ashamed to show you my crafting area, but my friends can tell you how messy i am, and no change in sight as far as i can see. =)) I just keep making those messes over and over!!

blessings,
Barbara jean
