See the peeling color on that one ornament? I thought for sure Indy-kitten would manage to knock that particular one off the tree but sadly it's still intact! I didn't go tree decorating crazy this year with two kitties in the house, one still very much an active and overly curious kitten.
Whatcha think of my tree skirt? I whipped this baby up one evening... easy peasy. Next year I might even line it before using again *smiles* Remember Nester says "IDHTBPTBB"
I purchased several copies of this book off ebay quite awhile ago and shared them with particular friends who I thought would benefit from the message. I certainly embraced it for awhile but sadly slide away from it. Time to start afresh, a new year and all. Won't you join me on a journey towards a life filled with gratitude and joy found in Simple Abundance? We can share our progress. Just an idea. Think about it. Let me know.
I'm on the home stretch now... Work is gearing up for our inventory. We have an early date so the agony won't go on and on well into January as in previous years then it's freedom for me! Well maybe not freedom but certainly a less stressful work life which I'm fully intending to take advantage of. Am I the only one behind on around the house projects? There's the sideboard to paint... Remember my $8 for the pair shadeless lamps? I gotta paint those. There's quite a few sewing projects laying around. Oh yeah, some reading...

I think your tree is beautiful! I would love a coordinated tree like that.
I have my music playlist set on 'random shuffle' so I do not know what was playing. But, I have learned, I prefer nice instrumental over song while visiting blogs. So, I keep going back to that play list. I even like playing it while just working like editing photos or bookkeeping or something. It is just relaxing. Glad you like it!
Hey girl,
So did Indy manage to leave your Christmas tree alone? I couldn't have a tree skirt under mine...it would have been shredded!
Guess what???? Now Midnight is in heat!!!! They told me they fix them at about 6 months so I was waiting for her to get about that age and here we go...in HEAT! ARGH!
I watched it twice while ironing Sat. I love that movie! I have read the book a few times as well. It was required reading when I was in High School. Or perhaps it was on a list and that was the book I selected. I loved it. I plan to read the book again soon.
I bought that book a few weeks back at my thrift store! I just haven't started reading it...
I'm in!
I need to look for that book! I would love to read it along with you when I find it. I will keep in touch. I know what you mean about the dishwasher. When we were growing up I had no idea how my life would change. My sister and I did all of the dishes by hand...always. I bet you love having your baby back at home. I wont tell, hehe. Im sad just thinking about the day my 18 year old son moves out. Im not ready to let him go just yet. Take care and dont work too hard~
Hi, just found your blog...I was a big fan of Simple Abundance for years, then I put it away to read some other stuff, then got her second and third books, quite good, I have resurrected mine because there is so much stuff that is great to be reminded of in there....simplify and be grateful, those are the biggest things I got from it, i will be back to read more of your blog.
