Burlap Pet Placemat

***Edited to add: Join the party at A Soft Place to Land's DIY Day***
Oh how I've been itching to do this project ~ I had everything so once again a ZERO CASH project *smiles* Here's what I used:
  • craft paint
  • burlap scrap
  • foam stamps
  • iron on vinyl

I bought the whole bolt of iron on vinyl off the clearance rack for a great price & saved it ever since ~ why?

Just cut your piece to fit your item, peel the paper off, place it sticky side down on top of the right side and hand smooth.

Then take the piece you pulled off & lay it over the top & press

That's it! Easy Peasy!

Indy-bug loves his new placemat...

Shhhhh, we won't tell him he's gotta share with Miz Sissy!

Two seconds later & look who shows up at the food dish?

Miz Sissy!

How CUTE!!! But the cutest thing is the kitties!! Indy and Midnight could be twins!!!! I can't believe on the 22nd of this month Midnight will be 1 year old!! She is getting a little belly and is just the most loveable cat we have ever had.

Ha, this is just too cute!! LOVE the "here kitty kitty"! Unfortunately, I have to feed on of mycats in the garage and the other on the patio b/c 1. the dogs will eat their food, and 2. the fat cat will eat the skinny cat's food.

Oh how funny....they sound identical!!! I wonder if most black cats are sweet and loving (this is my first one)? Mine though, gets a bit of help in her wildness from our poodle Lucy. Lucy is the wildest poodle we have ever had and when she is ready to play, she and Midnight could just about tear up the house!!!!! They run, they jump on the couch, on the BACK of the couch, wrestle each other and are just crazy!!! Then, they both finally calm down and are the MOST loving duo you have ever seen....too FUNNY!

That is such a good idea! My poor dog's bowl moves around the kitchen about a couple feet everytime he eats. This idea would probably make him happy given that he would then be able to enjoy his food instead of chase it.

That is great! So creative and fun! I love whimsy in a house. And practicality too. You win on both counts.

What a cute and clever idea! Wouldn't this be nice for young two-legged kiddos who are too messy for unprotected fabric placemats? Thanks for the idea- I see a gift idea in the works...
