A little mistreatin' going on...

Before, tab tops that didn't quite reach the floor...

After mistreating with nice fabric and trim...

A little something for the door too

Nice new rod (clearance of course)

Wait, you say it doesn't look mistreated to you?

OK I confess I did sew them but wait, check out the next picture...

Now THAT looks like a mistreatment!
I sewed right over the tab tops!

*grin*

I've had these Kmart special Martha Stewart panels for awhile, they were my bedroom curtains when we were in corporate housing and I had the rusty red bedding and taupe walls. When we moved back into our home I decided they suited the living room more. But after reading all the do's and don'ts about window treatments, well I realized that they were far to short. I didn't have enough fabric in my stash to raise the rods up higher but with the addition they now bend onto the floor. I had so little of the fabric that I had to scrounge around and use some muslin scraps for the rod casing but all in all I think it's a definite improvement.

You did a GREAT job with your mistreatments....LOVE them!!!!

Now you can't be all OCD on me!! My raggy garland ended up being about 40" long (LONG) they can be any length. All you need to do is take the twine and pull it out and hold it up wherever you might want to put your garland then add about 4 more inches (2" for each side for tying the loop or hooking a ring clip on). You can make them as short or as long as you wish...hope that takes the pressure off. I am thinking about doing an easy tutorial on it. I have been asked to. I will probably buy some Fall material and go for it so you can see the steps.

I love that fabric. Those are my favorite colors! Great job on the mistreatments! I'm now a Hobby Lobby addict. They might as well hire me I'm there so often.

Great idea for those window treatments! The wicker ball things were in my daughters things that are being stored here while they remodel their house. I came across them while trying to find my fall decor. I am still missing a few pumpkins a gourds. As for the sale, I am hoping Hannah doesn't rain us out. It is supposed to hit about an hour and a half below us on Friday, and the weather forcast now says partly sunny, but I am afraid that will change by tomorrow. I have a huge pile of stuff, so we will have to postpone until Oct. It is not coming back in the house. Have a great day! Jackie

Wow, that was a LONG work day and I bet you were exhausted when you finally made it home. Well, I hope you can get it made before you do go on your trip. You are funny and sound like me...when you want to get something made or done/ IT HAS TO GET DONE!!!

Your mistreatments are gorgeous! I love how they turned out....great job! Thank you for stopping little~o'l~blog and leaving sweet comments. To answer your questions....I did not make those cutie~pie dolls...they were lovingly made by the wonderful Christine Crocker of Deerfield Farmhouse...I bought them from her years ago at The Magic of Oregon antique show....she is wonderful, you should check out her blog and website. I did, however, make the {FAMILY} sign...I copied it from my pal Robyn. I heart me a good sign too!

Happy Fall!
