OOOh what a shame about the glass and plates....I had a kitten once that broke a $200 set of china...it was a very ornate tea service...so I know exactly what you are talking about...we had just got the kitten and thought about taking her back but of course we did not. Now your story of Mr. Wickham your cat was most refreshing...you write beautifully and I enjoyed reading it all. Have a better day today and every day and be well..
Also when I think of you and the way you call your husband Mr. Darcy...I think of the story THE GIFT OF THE MAGI...which you should read if you have not or read again if you have. I am going to do that...it is so ROMANTIC and perfect for a Christmas read...it is my favorite holiday story.

PatJust Between Us Girlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01057356038011126537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6381199676752892205.post-46059609965107075202008-12-08T14:40:00.000-05:002008-12-08T14:40:00.000-05:00Oh, how awful. I've managed to bend them into place but they just don't sit right anymore. It can be so irritating. :-(The Berry's Patchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01416679835910378508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6381199676752892205.post-35435245448846126132008-12-07T14:02:00.000-05:002008-12-07T14:02:00.000-05:00Oh don't ya hate days like that??? Sometimes somethhing more special.

My DD is not what I would say 'clumsy', but more careless and carefree. I will not let her play with my barbie, francie or skipper. They all have 1960 -1965 stamped on the bottoms. Francie may be younger b/c she came out later. I only got one of each. I had to take care of them. That is why they lasted so long.

Bebo, is a kitty my grandma made of yarn. I thought she made it for me. Turns out it has been around for decades. It was special to my aunts, b/c if they were sick, upset, what ever, this yarn critter got to be their 'buddy'. When I moved to b'ham 20 years ago, my grandma gave it to me so I would not be 'alone'. I made the mistake of letting DD have it with her plush toys. Something well made that has survived for at least 40 years fell into pieces under her care. My aunts were so upset with me.

I guess reading your post...I need to continue to keep everything up high, (DD is 10 now) in a cabinet, boxed up or put "Do Not Touch" on everything. She will not get my barbies until I am dead and gone. LOL!Missy Wertzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01183835861330993295noreply@blogger.com
